Mane Extensions - Installation Kit Included

Mane weft extensions are customizable in length, color, and width. *Submitting photos before ordering is recommended, as returns are not accepted without prior verification.*

If you have questions, please reach out prior to ordering as different options are available that are not listed. These weft extensions are also one of the ways that you can cover up bald spots or lack of tail hair areas (see palomino tail in pictures).

Info & FAQS

These hand made mane extensions are 100% horse hair that are recommended for use at horse show events only (not for permanent use). 

How long can you leave these in?

- These extensions are not recommended to be left in longer than 5-7 days pending the horse. With practice, these extensions are easily added and removed. It is not recommended for pasture use.

Can you wash these extensions?

-Yes, but make sure not to soak the band as well that they are COMPLETELY dry before storage and install. It is ok for them to get set-wet when hosing a horse off after a workout.

Can they be cut length and/or width wise?

- Yes, the band is made to be cut with minimal to no hair loss to help customize per horse.

Can you band and braid them?

- Banding is the best option for these wefts as we have other options for braiding.

Can you blow-dry and/or straighten the wefts?

- Yes but do not leave the heat on the band or on the hair for a long period because the hair will burn.

Tips: Manes should be completely dry before installing wefts/clips, etc. Also, if too clean then hair spray in the area you are going to pull through and brush through prior to instal - also can be used to help straighten the mane if needed.

Mane Extensions come with a reusable installation kit, making it easy to get started at home. Just restock the beads as needed to refresh your look without extra hassle.

1. A thin layer of under mane should be sectioned out to the width of the extension.

2. Open weft, lay over mane and secure with clips.

3. Use hook to pull a small amount of hair through hole. (Try to make sure you are pulling hair that is directly under that hole or it will buckle)

4. Take hair from the last hole on either end and a small amount of hair directly from the mane to secure the end down. This will most likely need to be redone at end to fix any buckling.

5. Take hair from the middle two holes, pull through bead, and clamp. Starting from the middle helps insure a flat install.  (Pro Tip: Clamp as tight as you can without weft buckling or bothering your horse)

6. Pull through and clamp the rest of the hair. Make sure you take 2 sections each time (except for the ends, they are 1 hole and a piece of mane from that side.)
